Donald J. Trump

Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman, television personality, politician, and the 45th President of the United States. Born and raised in Queens, New York City, Trump received an economics degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. In 1971, he took charge of his family’s real estate and construction firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son, which was later renamed The Trump Organization. During his business career, Trump has built, renovated, and managed numerous office towers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. He owned the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants from 1996 to 2015, and has lent the use of his name in the branding of various products. From 2004 to 2015, he hosted The Apprentice, a reality television series on NBC. As of 2016, Forbes listed him as the 324th wealthiest person in the world and 113th richest in the United States, with a net worth of $4.5 billion.

Trump sought the Reform Party’s presidential nomination in 2000, but withdrew before voting began. He considered running as a Republican for the 2012 election, but ultimately decided against it. In June 2015, he announced his candidacy for the 2016 election, and quickly emerged as the front-runner among 17 contenders in the Republican primaries. His final opponents suspended their campaigns in May 2016, and in July he was formally nominated at the Republican Convention along with Mike Pence as his running mate. His campaign received unprecedented media coverage and international attention. Many of his statements in interviews, on social media, and at campaign rallies were controversial or false.

A great American, Kurt Cochran, was killed in the London terror attack. My prayers and condolences are with his family and friends.

Just watched the totally biased and fake news reports of the so-called Russia story on NBC and ABC. Such dishonesty!

Spoke to U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May today to offer condolences on the terrorist attack in London. She is strong and doing very well.

Trump always ends up being right. It's almost a little freaky.

Billie Taylor SampsonI said this morning that Donald Trump has incorporated his business and life philosophy of ''me first and to heck with everything else'' into his role as president. His response to his health care set back bears this out, because Mr. ''I'm a great negotiator'', Mr. ''Art of The Deal'', in his first major negotiation as president, has come up on the loosing end. And what does he do after only about three weeks of negotiating if that long? He says negotiations are over and demands an up or down vote, because this is just how committed Donald Trump is to reforming the nation's health care system ,for good or bad. Donald Trump doesn't care one way or the other about health care.He cares about Donald Trump and how Donald Trumps looks getting health care reform, and tonight he looks like a looser. So now he's ready to walk away from it altogether. It took President Obama and the Democrats over a year to get the Affordable Care Act passed and signed into law. Obama lost a lot of political capital, especially within his own party. He was getting slammed every day in the media, his approval numbers took a hit, and after the special election of Scott Walker, it looked like the A.C.A.was dead on arrival, but Barack Obama didn't give up, and he didn't walk away because he was looking bad, which he was. because it wasn't about how he looked getting health care done. Health care reform meant something to him, and this is the difference between a president and a male ape, because a male ape only cares about itself.

Without profits, marketing costs, lobbying costs, the abominable salaries and benefits taken by CEO's, the insurance bureaucracy designed to minimize care and increase profits - we would save 40 to 50% of our healthcare dollars. Christi CalbotThe republicans have had control of congress for 6 years and refused to work with democrats to fix the flaws. They lied to their constituents by not telling them The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was also called Obamacare or Tenncare or other nicknames. They are deceitful in every way. They vote to bail out banks and auto companies, increases to the industrial military complex. The people are still recovering from the recession as well. While costs have been rising for years, wages have not for years. But they can't bare to care for the least among us. The elderly, handicapped and poor. It's sinful. Not Christian as they claim they are. Some of their evil ways; SABOTAGE There is relentless sabotage the entire time because republicans, behind closed doors on the night BO was inaugurated, promised to never let anything he does succeed. First they, republicans, put into the bill no negotiating with drug companies. Second, most of their republican governors would not participate and expand coverage choking off the insurance companies by not supporting Medicare and Medicaid for them. This caused them to pull out of those states. Exactly as planned. Congress pulled the funding for the reinsurance program that bankrupted some of the startups that supplied competition, and then they wonder where the competition went? Even those of us whose governors did not opt in love the Patient Protections part of ACA. Our support wasn't there to streamline and get the fraud out (my governor made his fortune frauding Medicare) of the process and insurance companies started pulling out leaving few choices. In doing that there was no competition to control the costs. You can check in states that participated the huge burden lifted off the state governments and the competition and pricing remained at much lower increases. It works. The night of DT's inaugural he stopped in before the ball to put in another sabotage called starting the process of "de-funding". First "sign and show" official act. They now have made it official on tax papers. Healthcare has been excluded on tax forms It cuts the responsibilities. Like those who make $200,000 or more a year paid 2.6% tax to support Medicaid and some Medicare. Paul the snake Ryan had to get that money back to his wealthy friends and donors. Bonus for them, not so much for the rest of us. The way they have described the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as the unusual nickname of "Obamacare" I suppose so they would never forget to be the enemy of it. Calling it the Affordable Care Act or ACA they might forget why they were opposing it. Advertising has been sabotaged too. Republican Insurance Plan or R.I.P.

Jen CharatYour statement is patently untrue. The ACA has provided Americans with access to necessary healthcare and has changed our lives for the better. It has made it so people who are born with a defect don't have to pay more for that misfortune than a person who wasn't born with a defect. It has made it so people don't suffer from job-lock, knowing they can't move from one employer to another for fear of losing coverage for themselves and their families. The ACA has made it so people go to the doctor before they're dying, and that not only changes their chances of surviving when they're sick, but also it means their treatments cost less because they're not being administered in an emergency setting. Keep the ACA and make the adjustments the Obama administration has been recommending for the past four years. Republicans seem to think it's more important to let the law fail in some states than it is to keep people alive.

Don ShafferYour exact quote was "healthcare that's cheaper, simpler, available for all. It's going to be a beautiful healthcare bill!" Were you lying for more than a year? This Trumpcare bill is garbage. It takes healthcare away from 14 million next year (24 million less insured by 2026) and it RAISES premiums on everyone else. Trumpcare is a disaster! You don't pass garbage just to say you've gotten it done. This is not what the American people want or support. If you think your approval rating is in the tank now, wait until this bill passes. And the best part is you don't even care about something that directly impacts millions of your voters - this is an annoying chore to you! As long as your billionaire buddies and swamp creatures get their 950 billion dollar tax cut out of this healthcare deal, you're happy!?!

David SingerTaxpayers and Trump’s security Re: “Secret Service; $60M extra for Trump; More funds are sought to protect the leader’s home and travel,” March 23 news story. The Secret Service is requesting an additional $60 million to protect President Donald Trump and his family. I believe we have sunk to a new low with this administration when we would give even a moment’s consideration to increasing the Secret Service budget to protect Trump Tower, to fund excess travel to Mar-a-Lago and, worst of all, to fund protection for the Trump family as they trot around the globe making private business deals. The taxpayer is asked to fund this excess and at the same time defund programs that provide money to Meals On Wheels and public broadcasting. The place for the president and the first lady to live and to conduct business is the White House. As far as the rest of the Trump family, if their business dealings require global travel, that is not a taxpayer problem. This extra security is a business expense, not a government expense, and it should be paid for by the Trump business enterprise.

He promised to never be the kind of president who took cushy vacations on the taxpayer’s dime, not when there was so much important work to be done. You bought it. Richard RousselCopy /paste In June of last year, Trump entered the race for president. In just a little over a year, Trump has single handedly defeated the Republican party. He did so thoroughly. In fact, he did so in such a resounding way that the Republican Party now suffers from an identity crisis. He literally dismantled the party. Trump even dismantled and dismissed the brand and value of the Bush family. Trump has Obama petrified that Trump will dismiss programs that weren’t properly installed using proper law. Trump has single handedly debunked and disemboweled any value of news media as we knew it—news now suffering from an all-time level of distrust and disrespect. Trump has leaders from all over the world talking about him, whether good or bad. Trust me, powerful men who have been president before weren’t liked by the global community. I doubt Mikhail Gorbachev liked Reagan when Reagan said, "Tear down that wall." Trump has expressly disclosed the fraud perpetrated on the American public by Hillary Clinton. He has, quite literally, brought Hillary to her knees—if you believe that nervous tension and disorders offer physical side effects and damage. Trump has unified the silent majority in a way that should be patently frightening to “liberals.” As the press accuses Trump of being a house of cards, Trump has proven the press is the real house of cards. He has whipped up the entire establishment into pure panic. Trump has exposed them for who they are and worse, what they are. George Clooney was right when he said Trump draws live news coverage of his podium that he’s not yet approached. Thanks, George, you were perfectly correct. What we see as headline news today are actually the last bubbles from the ship that is now sunk—meaning the standard news media, as a propaganda machine, has been exposed. They have no more value. In the same way Trump asked the African-American community this question, I asked my friend, ”At this point, what do you have to lose?” We have mass cop shootings, riots in our streets, ambushed cops, double digit inflation, bombs blowing up in our cities, targeted police, #BLM, a skyrocketing jobless rate, no economic growth, privately owned land being seized by the federal government, the worst racial tension in my lifetime, no God in schools, more abortions than ever, illegal aliens pouring into our country, sick veterans receiving no care, and a debt that doubled in seven years to $19 trillion. Are you really happy with the condition of the current system? One man has done all of this in one year—one guy, and on his own dime. And with everything I’ve written above, you believe Trump hasn't done anything? You claim that you are afraid of Donald Trump? No wonder we’re in trouble. You can say that Trump is a lousy presidential candidate. That’s your right. Just don’t ever say he’s not effective. That Megan Kelly, FOX News, CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, Rachel Maddow, the Huffington Post, the New York Times, Raleigh’s News and Observer, the AP, Don Lemon, Jake Tapper, and many more, failed to implement their collectively orchestrated lie on the American people against Trump, is actually a massive testament to Trump. The press colluded pure propaganda to accomplish his demise … and they have collectively failed and miserably. Here's just one example of how badly America is injured right now. There are high school football players on their knees during the national anthem simply because the press used as propaganda to program those kids to do that very thing. But, these kids are mimicking NFL stars the same way the same kids chooses which brand of football shoe to purchase—they're overtly brain-washed to do that very thing. Now, we have a generation of children who hate America. America’s problem isn’t that little children are on their knee in collective disrespect of America. Our problem is that America is on her knee from collective disrespect by Americans. You can disrespect America all you want. But, it’s high-time you respect the silent majority. Because they’re not simply the “silent majority” as you’ve been trained to believe when Hillary calls them “deplorables.” The fact is, they are simply the majority. And now they're no longer silent either. Donald Trump changed all of that, single-handedly and within one year.' please response back With your candidates accomplishment. Please feel free to share this. Let's make America great again. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 We the people by the people for the people.

Richard RousselCopy and paste In June of last year, Trump entered the race for president.

Stephen DroppFor Trump supporters and Non-Voters: 1. He called Hillary Clinton a crook. You bought it. Then he paid $25 million to settle a fraud lawsuit. 2. He said he’d release his tax returns, eventually. You bought it. He hasn’t, and says he never will. 3. He said he’d divest himself from his financial empire, to avoid any conflicts of interest. You bought it. He is still heavily involved in his businesses, manipulates the stock market on a daily basis, and has more conflicts of interest than can even be counted. 4. He said Clinton was in the pockets of Goldman Sachs, and would do whatever they said. You bought it. He then proceeded to put half a dozen Goldman Sachs executives in positions of power in his administration. 5. He said he’d surround himself with all the best and smartest people. You bought it. He nominated theocratic loon Mike Pence for Vice President. A white supremacist named Steve Bannon is his most trusted confidant. Dr. Ben Carson, the world’s greatest idiot savant brain surgeon, is in charge of HUD. Russian quisling Rex Tillerson is Secretary of State. 6. He said he’d be his own man, beholden to no one. You bought it. He then appointed Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education, whose only “qualifications” were the massive amounts of cash she donated to his campaign. 7. He said he would “drain the swamp” of Washington insiders. You bought it. He then admitted that was just a corny slogan he said to fire up the rubes during the rallies, and that he didn’t mean it. 8. He said he knew more about strategy and terrorism than the Generals did. You bought it. He promptly gave the green light to a disastrous raid in Yemen- even though all his Generals said it would be a terrible idea. This raid resulted in the deaths of a Navy SEAL, an 8-year old American girl, and numerous civilians. The actual target of the raid escaped, he lost and destroyed a multi billion dollar helicopter, and no useful intel was gained. 9. He said Hillary Clinton couldn’t be counted on in times of crisis. You bought it. He didn’t even bother overseeing that raid in Yemen; and instead spent the time hate-tweeting the New York Times, and sleeping. 10. He called CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times “fake news” and said they were his enemy. You bought it. He now gets all his information from Breitbart, Gateway Pundit, InfoWars, and creates his own fake news everyday. 11. He called Barack Obama “the vacationer-in-Chief” and accused him of playing more rounds of golf than Tiger Woods. He promised to never be the kind of president who took cushy vacations on the taxpayer’s dime, not when there was so much important work to be done. You bought it. He took his first vacation after 11 days in office and every weekend after that, and has gone golfing every weekend as well. All on the taxpayer’s dime. And that’s just the first month.

JF DavisI see a lot of people here whining and complaining because in their opinion President Trump hasn't done enough to suit them in the two short months he's been in office. The fact that he has already decreased the deficit by a billion dollars, brought thousands of jobs to America, met with world leaders to secure ally relationships with them, sent a million dollars to Flint, Michigan so they can fix their water problem which has been on-going for over two years, appointed numerous cabinet members, secured military jets at a cost thousands of dollars lower than they have ever been, as well as refusing to accept the extravagant cost of the new Air Force One jet and obtaining a much lower price, started the building of the pipe line that will save us millions of dollars in oil, met with military leaders, labor leaders, women's groups, church leaders, and countless other groups of people who were left out by the previous administration etc... etc... and has accomplished more in those two months than Obama did in eight long years!! I'd like to ask all of you who seem to live only to critique and condemn our president - What have YOU personally accomplished that helped our country in any manner in the past two months or for that matter, at any time in your personal life? President Trump, at 70 years of age could most likely work circles around all of you, and he had worked tirelessly since even before he took office! He has accomplished a lot already in spite of being attacked on all sides by corrupt Hillary supporters, infatuated Obama supporters who can't let go of the fact that he is no longer president, Liberals who attack him just because they have nothing better to do, and all sorts of cry baby type people who expect the man to be able to perform miracles in a very short amount of time which they personally could never accomplish! Where were all of you when Obama was doing absolutely nothing for our country because he was to busy catering to the Muslims, making excuses for terrorists, watching cities like Chicago and Detroit being destroyed by their Democrat leaders and doing nothing whatsoever to help them, alienating our long-time ally Israel, creating chaos all over the middle east, and along with Hillary Clinton, creating ISIS? Where were all of you who pretend to be so concerned over every little thing that happens in America then? Why didn't you complain when there really was a lot to complain about?

Sue Ann Moehle AllenPaul Ryan said that Republicans made “improvements” to their so-called health care bill. Well, if you’re in the top 2 percent or you are the CEO of a big pharmaceutical company, yes, the Republicans did make major improvements for you. Under these “improvements” the top 2 percent will receive an additional $31 billion in tax breaks on top of the $275 billion already included in the Republican bill. Big pharmaceutical companies will now be getting $3 billion more — $33 billion in total. And instead of getting a $145 billion tax break, big insurance companies will be getting a $161 billion tax break — $16 billion more. Meanwhile, tens of millions of Americans will still lose their health insurance and premiums for low-income seniors will still skyrocket. They will still be left in the cold. The Republican bill is not a health care bill at all. It is a massive tax break for the rich and powerful and it must be defeated.

Jody Anne HutzlerPresident Trump, on the health care problem, don't you think it may be a little better to take more time like maybe towards the end of the year before this bill is completed. This way, while Obamacare is collapsing in on itself during the year, you can come in with an outstanding health care bill that will "save the day" in other words. If you try it now and it doesn't work, you will be blamed for this huge flop. 🇺🇸

Meanwhile 60 year old republican Joe from Alabama gets his subsidies cut from $13,000 a year down to $4,000. I do not care what side of the political fence you sit on, you cannot support this act.

ObamaCare is a disaster and is failing if Trump says this will get us moving in the right direction then let's move forward. ObamaCare took years to fully put in place due it's long tentacles into our economy. We may have to peel it back. I had rather we wait, but Trump says it can't wait. The taxes can't reformed until this is in place. This is a huge TAX. So I'm going with Trump and will stand with his decision.

Franky RamirezDon't listen to the elitists or CNN. They like to nitpitck things and not pick on the important things Trump has done so far. And one of them is replacing Obamacare. From eliminating the individual mandate, to doubling the annual contribution to a HSA(this ones for me), this is a bill that will be flexible and get the job done. And relax, liberals: insurers will still enroll those with pre-existing conditions. Trump is not that dumb, and he knows a good deal when he sees one. I look forward to its passage, as this is one step to making our country great. And is only the beginning. #MAGA

Chad MyrickI really don't understand why they don't pull this bill and propose something that could unite support...not all these 11th hour accommodation proposals to try and squeak out the vote. Obamacare is terrible...but this is basically a reworking of the same general concepts. The underlying cost of healthcare delivery in America is the real problem. Failing to address that through true free market competition is my main disappointment with this proposal. They need to get it right. I fail to see how this not passing "threatens the entire Trump agenda." The Republicans should have put forth a bill they could unify behind BEFORE going public. Democrats have nothing but wrong ideas, but they are almost always monolithic in their united support for whatever disaster they're trying to push. For better or worse, Republicans will own this. If premiums and deductibles don't come down for Americans, then they'll pay for it. And I have my doubts there because the ONLY thing that lowers costs in a capitalistic society is competition. In this case, on the insurance AND healthcare delivery sides. You want your premiums going down because the cost of services being covered actually go down...not because subsidies or credits make it artificially more affordable to have "coverage." That cannot be sustained.

Millions cannot afford health ins. premiums AND doctor bills not covered by health insurance..so many choose simply not to go to the doctor and that is why America is sick.
